Mop Top Shop Technology Classes & Workshops

Create web sites, design and edit digital photography, create simple animations, or learn to create WebQuests for your classroom projects at the Mop Top Shop! At the Mop Top Shop, you learn and explore the latest computer-related technologies and software applications relevant to web design and publishing. Using hands-on activities in a small classroom environment, you will learn basic HTML and Adobe Dreamweaver to create, design, and publish basic web pages; learn to create basic animations with Adobe Flash; learn Adobe Photo Shop to design and edit digital photography and artwork, and use Microsoft Word to create WebQuests for research on the web.

Each student will complete a final project at the end of each session to ensure understanding and competency in the use of each application. Small class sizes facilitates positive discussions and constructive critiques as you learn from sharing and evaluating your work with instructors and fellow students. Onsite classes and instruction are also available.

optimizing images for the web

Objectives of the Mop Top Shop Professional Development classes:

The mission of the Mop Top Shop is to provide a exciting, fun, comfortable, easy, basic, and stimulating learning environment through the use of technology and technology tools using simple, hands-on activities and easy to understand, basic instruction. Small class sizes are a plus!
Provide multisensory stimulation through the use of technology and technology tools that facilitates learning and retention of information
Promote, build, and re-enforce self-confidence and self-esteem using technology tools and software

We want our Mop Top Shop students of all ages to bring all of their wonderful ideas, artwork, photographs, creativity and imagination to our classes...and don't forget to bring a flash drive (1 GB) to store your valuable work.
